How do I register to buy and sell?
Click on Register at the left side of the screen and fill out the form. You can change the city, state, and password information at anytime by clicking Edit Your Profile at the bottom of every screen after you login.
Do I have to open a Cheaper Store to sell my items?
No. Anybody can list as many items as they like whether they have a store or not, but opening a store will give you more exposure at Cheaper By The Day, and allow you to promote and feature your items.
How do I post an item?
Sign In, and click Submit A Listing at the left side of the screen. Read the small print and you can't go wrong. You can keep track of your listings at Cheaper My Way - Items I'm Selling.
How can I sell my items using PayPal?
You need to have a PayPal account with the email you registered, then Sign In and click on Edit Your Profile at the bottom of the screen. Indicate 'Yes', Use PayPal, and that's that. The listings you have sold will then have a PayPal Buy Now button for fast, easy, and secure payments.
How can I sell my items using Google Checkout?
Sign In and go to Edit Your Profile. Indicate 'Yes', Use Google Checkout, and also enter your Merchant ID and Merchant Key. A Google Checkout button will then appear with every item you have sold.
What if I made a mistake and need to edit my listing?
Sign In, go to Cheaper My Way - Items I'm Selling, and click on the listings Title to go where you can view the items details. If you are the seller, there will be an Edit Listing and a Delete Listing link. Click on Edit Listing and you can change anything you need to right there.
How do I cancel an item I don't want to sell anymore?
Click on the listings Title to go where you can view the items details. Click on Delete Listing, indicate "yes" to confirm, and the item will then be deleted.
What if my item doesn't sell and I want to list it again?
You can either wait until the listing expires and resubmit all the information yourself, or you can choose to auto relist the item and save yourself a heap of time. When the price reaches the minimum amount at the end of its duration, the item will start all over again at the maximum price and continue on down as before. You can cancel or reinstate this feature at any time. You can keep this process cycling indefinately if you wish.
What happens when I sell an item?
When an item you are selling is bought, you are notified by email and can the view the details of the transaction at Cheaper My Way - Items I've Sold. There you will find the buyers contact email, and how much the item sold for. Also, when you submit the item's tracking number after you ship it out, the buyer will be notified by email, and you can keep track yourself of the item's shipping status.
What happens when I bid on an item?
When you Name Your Price and Buy It Later, the item will be sold if and when the item reaches your price. You can keep track of the item's status and know when the item will reach your price at Cheaper My Way - Items I'm Watching. Also, the seller is notified and will have the option of selling it to you right away whether your bid meets their minimum selling price or not.
I just bought an item, now what?
The item has been 'sold' at Cheaper By The Day, and now you must contact the seller and make payment arrangements. You can view the item at Cheaper My Way - Items I've Bought where you will find the seller's contact information and can keep track of the item's shipping status when the seller enters that information.
Why is everybody referred to by their first name?
Using first names cultivates honesty and integrity. Plus it's nice to know who you're talking to when asking a question, or finalizing a purchase.
How can I view the feedback that a user has received?
By clicking their name 'Seller (20)' on an items details page, or you can view your own at Cheaper My Way. When you have bought or sold an item, a link to their feedback is also provided at Cheaper My Way where the items that you have bought and sold are displayed.
What's with the numbers after the name?
This is the total number of items that the user has bought and sold, which along with any feedback is an indication of how reliable the user is as a buyer and a seller.
